View Prof. Lahiri's Conference Schedule

Dr Ajay Yerramasu

Ajay is a Research Registrar at Heart-Scan (Clinical Imaging and Research Centre) and Barnet General Hospitals. Ajay has extensive experience in Cardiac CT and Nuclear Cardiology techniques. He is board certified for advanced Cardiac CT training (CBCCT - Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography). His research project is of considerable importance, the RADICAL Trial will evaluate 1000 patients from 3 NHS hospital ‘Chest Pain Clinics’ by Dual-Source Ultra-fast Cardiac CT compared to present standard care in the NHS. The accuracy and Cost-effectiveness of Dual-Source CT coronary angiography will be evaluated (see Publications). The research is carried out under the supervision of Professor Avijit Lahiri.

Dr Shreenidhi Venuraju

Shreenidhi is a Research Registrar at Heart-Scan (Clinical Imaging and Research Centre). Shreenidhi has extensive experience in Cardiac CT and Nuclear Cardiology techniques. He is board certified for advanced Cardiac CT training (CBCCT – Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography). His research project involves the development of new CT coronary angiography techniques for the assessment of silent heart disease in diabetic patients. Furthermore, he will also work closely with Professor Corder from the William Harvey Institute of Medical Sciences to develop new novel ‘bio-markers’ for evaluation of coronary artery disease progression in diabetic patients. This will be ground breaking new research of utmost importance (see Publications). The research is carried out under the supervision of Professor Avijit Lahiri.
 

Ms Barbara Kraly

Barbara Kraly is our research nurse at the Cardiac Imaging and Research Centre.  She has over 20 years of experience in areas of diabetes, metabolism and cardiac medicine.  Barbara finished her training in Austria and has since worked for leading hospitals in both Austria and the United Kingdom.  Barbara has been closely involved in teaching and research.  As well as being an excellent clinical nurse, Barbara has also published in numerous research publications.

Ms Usha Raval

Usha is a Manager of nuclear medicine and cardiac research at the Cardiac Imaging and Research Department. She has worked with Professor Lahiri for 19 years and has developed considerable experience in clinical pharmacology, and non-invasive cardiac investigations.

She has developed international reputation in nuclear cardiology. She also represented European Nuclear Medicine Technologist at the International Congress of Nuclear Cardiology (1993, 1995).

Mr Julian Tsang

Julian is the CT Superintendent at Heart-Scan (Clinical Imaging and Research Centre), managing the day to day activities of the Dual Source CT unit. Julian has comprehensive clinical cross sectional imaging experience both in the public and private sectors of the healthcare environment . He has extensive experience in both areas of research and training, having been published in peer reviewed papers and with his experience as a clinical applications specialist in the commercial sector.

Ms Michelle Weymouth

Cardiac Sonographer - Michelle  is fairly new to Heart-Scan ( Clinical Imaging and Research Centre), however she is not new to the field of cardiovascular technology. She has over 11 years of experience with non-invasive cardiac procedures with a speciality in echocardiography. Michelle is Registered Cardiac Sonographer with the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers and with the British Society of Echocardiography. Michelle is currently assisting with trials conducted by the Clinical Imaging and Research Centre.
