Dr Avijit Lahiri Professor Avijit Lahiri MBBS, MSc, MRCP, FACC, FESC

Professor Lahiri is a a Co-director of the Cardiac Imaging and Research Department and a Consultant Cardiologist. He was previously a Director of Cardiac Research at the Institute of Medical Research, University of London, UK, Northwick Park Hospital. His clinical and research interests are coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, hypertension and clinical pharmacology.

His areas of expertise include Cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.

He was a founding member of the British, American, and International Nuclear Cardiology Societies. He was founder and President of the International Congress of Nuclear Cardiology. Professor Lahiri belongs to major international and national cardiology societies and has numerous Publications in the field.

Dr David Lipkin MD FRCP

Dr Lipkin is a Co-director of the Cardiac Imaging and Research Department and Director of Cardiology at the Wellington Hospital. He is also a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Free Hospital, part of University of London, UK.

He is a leading expert in interventional cardiology (coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, pacemaker insertions, etc.) Dr Lipkin also has considerable interest in research in cardiac CT (coronary calcium imaging, CT coronary angiography). He has published widely.
